FMP is a São Paulo-based law firm with concentrated practice in Brazilian tax law — advisory and litigation across all three levels — and related work in business law. Approach
The practice combines technical rigor, in-depth knowledge of federal, state and municipal legislation and continuous monitoring of administrative and judicial case law. Each matter is addressed against the full tax, accounting and corporate context of the client, without compartmentalization between advisory and litigation work.
Scope of work
The firm operates in recurring tax advisory, corporate and estate planning, administrative litigation before CARF and state and municipal tax tribunals, judicial litigation across all instances including the higher courts, international trade matters, and related business law fronts — civil and labor — when connected to the client's tax or corporate work.
Tax Reform
FMP follows the Brazilian Tax Reform from a technical standpoint since Constitutional Amendment 132/2023 and Complementary Law 214/2025. The work involves impact assessment, transition risk mapping, contract review and adjustment of special regimes to the new IBS, CBS and Selective Tax framework.
